Balance transfers

Because of my credit cards problem, my cousin told me that it is better for me to make my credit card into 1. He mentioned about balance transfers.

I haven’t decided yet, but I called one of the credit card institutions if it would be better for me. The advisor told me to do it. So I will do it online tomorrow.

Too many credit cards?

I am using three credit cards and just recently I am having trouble in paying. I have lost my job because of the current meltdown in housing. It is truly difficult to accept that the job I was is gone.

Today, I don’t have enough money for my credit cards. I could no longer pay. I am in debt and I need credit counseling. How should I get out of this?

Credit Cards Are Things I Could Not Live Without

I could not do away with the credit cards because I still find these cards useful especially when I purchase items online. Credits cards always offer the convenience of not carrying cash around. This is unlike a decade ago when I had to lug some heavy cash because some stores do not accept cash payments.

I think that banks and other lenders see this significance, because I often see credit cards being offered to those with bad credit ratings. But this does not mean that the good ones are now at the same level of benefits to those who had marred their credit history with bad debts. I see more perks and benefits to those who had maintained a good credit rating in the first place.

Since there are more credit cards being issued and almost everybody is qualified to get one, security is starting to be an issue too. I am not anymore comfortable at having to keep one card in my purse, because it is possible to “copy” this card secretly by using a similar swipe machine. But hiding the card is still much better than just exposing it around, which increases the risk of losing one’s identity.
